TEDx Yerevan is a gathering of world-leading thinkers, makers, and doers in Yerevan to discuss doing the unprecedented. This will be an invite-only event, in order to bring together an audience as impressive as the speakers — thought leaders from Yerevan and beyond — for a stimulating day of presentations, discussions, entertainment and art that will spark new ideas for all.
TEDx will be held in Yerevan on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The theme of the event is “Beyond Borders”. Topics around following areas will be discussed during the event: innovations, technology, energy, education, homeland and Diaspora, arts and entertainment.
Sadly, I won’t be in Yerevan on September 25, although I’d love to attend. The great thing about TEDx, however, is the fact, that they make videos of the best talks available online after the event. So if you couldn’t make it, or didn”t get an invite, you can still get a sense of what its all about. Make sure to check the www.tedxyerevan.com for updates.
This independent TEDx event is operated under licence from TED.
PS: I love this banner from their website with a ‘traditional’ white Niva running down a Yerevan street. Niva’s have become Yerevan’s essence in recent years ;)
