Google Instant not available in Armenia yet, do not be alarmed!

Google Instant search showing results for the search word Yerevan, with a lovely "Welcome to Google Instant" note that reads: "Feeling of euphoria and weightlessness are normal. Do not be alarmed"

Google has started rolling out instant search. It is not available for Google.am yet, but I tested it on Google.com and was quite excited.

“We are excited today to be unveiling Google Instant. Google Instant is search-before-you-type. Instant takes what you have typed already, predicts the most likely completion and streams results in real-time for those predictions—yielding a smarter and faster search that is interactive, predictive and powerful,” Google Official Blog says describing the service.

Still no instant search on Google.am

As part of our current rollout, Google Instant will become the core search experience on Google.com for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE 8. Google Instant will also be offered for signed-in users in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the U.K. who are signed in and have Instant-capable browsers.

The same source says instant search will come to “all geographies and platforms over the coming weeks and months.” So much for Google.am, not available yet, feeling of depression and increased blood pressure are normal, do not be alarmed! :)))))

Here’s also a list of the core features:

Dynamic Results – Google dynamically displays relevant search results as you type so you can quickly interact and click through to the web content you need.
Predictions – One of the key technologies in Google Instant is that we predict the rest of your query (in light gray text) before you finish typing. See what you need? Stop typing, look down and find what you’re looking for.
Scroll to search – Scroll through predictions and see results instantly for each as you arrow down.

  1. Аря де еркир@……..:-) Ели менк……чен сирум ели мез:-)

  2. In addition to google.com, several other search engines such as bing.com, yahoo.com, ask.com, netscape.aol.com, aol.com, search.com and search.am (English words) have had this function of instant search for quite some time. Have they all been sharing Google instant search software? Some search engines may be powered by Google but most of these companies are in competition with each other.

    • Google has tried various flavors of instant search in the past, so has Bing, but those are not nearly as cool as what Google is doing right now.

Bing will have to innovate really fast to continue growing its presence in the search marketplace dominated by Google.

  3. I turned Google instant off. They annoys & creeps me out. i feel like Google is reading my head. yay!

Also, my connection is slow – another reason for me to not use them.
