Areni Wine Festival – a Tradition in Fermenting

[slideshow]
The Wine festival in Areni village of Vayots Dzor region in Armenia was held for the 4th consecutive time on Saturday, October 6th. The annual event, which is partly sponsored by the Armenian government, is slowly turning into a tradition and a welcome one, judging from these great photo shots published by Azatutyun.am.
The location of the festival is special, as archeologists have found ancient winemaking accessories, with wine remains and grape nucleus have been found in the caves near Areni village.
The event is also fun (with excellent wine readily available for those willing to get a taste of it) and brings much needed attention to Vayots Dzor province.
