Iowa Becomes the 47th State to Recognize the Armenian Genocide

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signs powerful proclamation making the Hawkeye State the 47th State to recognize the Armenian Genocide and declaring October 2017 as “Armenia Awareness Month” (via Simon Maghakyan)
The ANCA Eastern Region’s Armén Sahakyan and Artur Martirosyan went live at the scene with Fr. Tadeos Barseghyan, coalition partners and community advocates.

In her Proclamation Iowa Governor condemned the murder of over 2.5 million Armenians, Greeks, Syriacs and Assyrians, noting that the Ottoman Turkish government’s crime “still requires justice.”
