TV host Felix Khachatryan, banned from Public TV for years, returns

After former PM Hovik Abrahamian’s fall from power, TV host, rapper Felix Khachatrian is allowed to return to the Public TV of Armenia as the host of the new program “Formula of Love” («Սիրո բանաձև»).

Khachatrian was banned from Public TV since 2010, after he let slip the phrase “We have a mouse, there’s a great mouse in the Republic, who is well known to everyone,” which was seen as a reference to then Speaker of the Parliament Hovik Abrahamian’s nickname. The TV host added after a pause that he was speaking about the fairy-tale character “Puy Puy Mukik” (Mouse Puy Puy).
Hovik Abrahamian was one of the ruling Republican Party’s (HHK) most influential figures for years. He was appointed prime minister in 2014, and managed the ruling party’s presidential and parliamentary election campaigns since 2008.
In Autumn of 2016 Abrahamian was replaced on the post of the Prime Minister by Karen Karapetyan. Months later, in January 2017, he announced about leaving the ruling party ahead of the parliamentary elections.
As for Felix Khachatrian, his new program will be broadcast every Friday since September 15th, at 20:30.  More details about the program can be found here.
