Barekendan, Yerevan, Republic of Armenia © Onnik Krikorian, CRD / TI Armenia 2007
Barekendan was the top story around the Armenian blogosphere. As I reported earlier the event was initiated by civil society activists as a “call upon their fellow dormant citizens to “wake up” and become involved”, which was clearly a success. However, there were slightly different views on the event from around the blogosphere, as were many different photos. Make sure to check them all:
All photographs originally from the CRD/TI Armenia site may be used, but MUST be credited.
Onnik – sorry for that – it was unintentional, problems corrected 🙂 You know very well, that I’m always more then happy to link to other blogs and credit people on their work! More importantly – I haven’t been able to open your Transparency blog all day today – do you know what’s going on – or is it just me? (I’m in Edinburgh right now, not on my usual internet provider, so maybe its the BT Wifi playing tricks? At any rate – I took the photo form Bekaisa, and wasn’t careful enough in copying the copyrights, etc.
No, unfortunately the site went down for 15 hours and emails and telephone calls to Xter.net didn’t result in any action on their part. They didn’t seem to care. Wait until tomorrow to see if it works, they said instead of living up to their self-proclaimed professional 24/7 technical support.
Anyway, enjoy Edinburgh. Never visited, but heards it’s beautiful.
