Pet keepers to pay special tax in Yerevan

According to a decision by Yerevan’s elderly council, those inhabitants of Yerevan who keep domestic animals at home are to pay 5000 drams ($13 US) annual fee to the municipal budget.

I see no problem with the fine, but I think it should be extended to include all animals, because Armenian oligarchs prefer lions and tigers, which don’t fall under the ‘domestic’ category. Why? Let them pay at least some taxes for a change!

This funny video piece by known humorist Samvel Baghdasarian was prevented from being broadcast by any Armenian TV according to Radio Van Blog.

The humorous representation of traditional presidential addresses appeared too much for TV owners? I watched it,  nothing special. Not very funny either.  So why was it censored? Is it just because censorship has turned into a bad habit?

Naked men in downtown Yerevan… to mark Valentine’s day

UNZIPPED: To mark Valentine’s day, Brabion Flora Service in Yerevan initiated an unprecedented PR action. They announced that all men who will be at their flora salon at 2 pm local time in swimwear or underwear only, will get a free bouquet. The organisers expected 1 or 2 men to turn up, but there were 10 or so there.
