Serge Sargsyan appointed RA Prime Minister

President of Armenia Robert Kocharian has signed a decree appointing Serge Sargsyan as Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia, dismissing him from the post of the RA Minister of Defense.

The appointment follows more then a week of speculations and guesswork as to who would be the successor of the the late Premier Andranik Margaryan. Oneworld Multimedia and Kornelij Glas were the most active bloggers to constantly keep the developments around the Premier’s vacant post in focus, and were also the first to announce the appointment of Serge Sargsyan today.
