World famous French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour and two dozens of other famous French singers have just finished recording a beautiful song: “Un Geste Pour Haiti Cherie”. It is a song-appeal to encourage people to make donations on behalf of the Caribbean island hit by a disasterous earthquake last week.
Maestro Charles Aznavour, 85, who is currently Armenia’s ambassador to Switzerland, contributed personally and encouraged huge donations and international assistance to Armenia when a similarly destructive earthquake hit it on December 7, 1988. Maestro Aznavour brought together a fantastic group of French artists back than, to produce a similar sound track – “For you Armenia“,  recorded in urgency to help the disaster victims of the earthquake in yet another beautiful gesture of generosity.
Thank you Maestro Aznavour and all the wonderful French artists for your healing art and generosity in 1988 and 2010!
